Well, I just googled "common denominator gameshow" and found a whole host of entries that took me to pdfs of the shows formats, youtube from the original israeli shows (which I cannot see as on the work pc (dont tell anyone!) etc. ). So unless C4 have changed the format substantially.......

The exact connection that I was looking for was simply that they were all UK hits (not merely songs because I do not know if Billie Holiday sang any songs which had "lady" in the title). Good clarification. On her LP "Lady Sings the Blues" there is a song called "Lady Sings...

Can i jump ahead and go for the connection - all music acts that have had songs with "lady" in the title Beatles=Lady Madonna, Commodores= Three times a lady, Dylan =Lay lady lay, Tom Jones= Shes a Lady etc
.......or it may just be a coincidence

As i am watching on fast forward I may have missed it, but it seems that all the contestants are introduced by christian name only. Is this correct? Given that there are a number of familiar faces in the 10 contestants so far (e.g Hannah, Stainer, Gibbs) , surnames would have been nice for identific...

Just because the programme is called Cleverdicks, it becomes very annoying with Ann W saying Cleverdick everytime a question is answered correct first time - even when an obvious guess. Reminds me of Numberwang. agree completely with what chris said about lack of penalties for guessing and 5 points ...
