In 1969 40 over cricket was something new- the Gillette was 60 overs and many batsmen still played normally in that length of game. its an amazingly economical bowling spell in limited overs cricket from the early days when batsmen hadn't always worked out how to chase the bowling- he might even have bowled 8 overs for no runs at all? I think it was Sunday League
