Well, I don't think the two versions of "Answer Me" were consecutive, as Frankie Laine had 2 consecutive number 1s, making him the first artist to have 3 UK no.1s.

However, that still doesn't mean I know the answer!

I know there were 2 consecutive versions of Singing The Blues at No.1, so that must count. Plus I would have thought they'd be earlier. So, Tommy Steele & ... probably Guy Mitchell (although Johnny Ray is also in my head).
