I'll be there until forced to leave by the departure of the last train back to London (at 2135).

I'll be there for the duration. Unfortunately I can't make "Dogging with Dodding" but I recommend the 6 dog.

Although every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to be called Dave (well six any way), I intend to attend. Winning a fortune at the dogs may seriously affect my performance though.

Please put my name down for the whole day's quizzing. I've registered an interest elsewhere in going to the dogs on the Friday, but have to get back to London on Saturday evening.

THanks

I've booked this Friday off so I can head there the day before. I'm just not quite sure where I'm staying yet. So yes, I'll be there.

Quiz sponsorship

Postby stevedodding » Sun Apr 29, 2012 12:27 pm

Just received this from a friend of ours. Angela organises events for the charity Action Medical Research locally (including the unquestionably marvellous Tony Hadley Golf Classic) and Jamie and I have persuaded her to take part in next Saturday's Peterborough GP for the charity. She isn't a quizzer so if anyone would like to sponsor her before the event then I would suggest that 50p or even a pound per correct answer wouldn't break the bank.

"Quizzing. The caring hobby that never stops giving."

Hi

Please can you help me raise some money for Action Medical Research – http://www.action.or.guk. Sponsor form attached – please complete and return if you can help.

I have entered a quiz on Saturday 5th May arranged by the Quizzing community in the UK and am up against people like Kevin Ashman, of BBC’s Eggheads, and Iwan Thomas, current Brain of Britain and Anne Hegerty from The Chase! As you will see on attached form, my score will be verified by one of the organisers, Jamie Dodding. I am not expected to get more than two questions the whole of the day! This quiz also gives rankings in the UK so am prepared to be last! However, I am prepared to look an idiot so hope you will sponsor me to make it all worthwhile!

As you know, Action Medical Research’s funding has provided the following over the last 60 years:

the first British Polio Vaccine

the first Rubella vaccine

the first ultrasound in pregnancy

the first artificial hip

the importance of taking Folic acid to prevent Spina Bifida

the heart fetal monitor

the award winning matrix seating system to help support disabled children

and lately the cooling cap for premature babies

and so much more to come.....this year they are concentrating on research to eradicate Meningitis B. With your help we can make that happen!

Best wishes

Please add me for the day on Saturday. Sorry but I cannot make the dogging event!

Phil, Does that mean you and Jan will be currying on Saturday night?
