A couple of friends and I are thinking of attending. It will all be our first time.

If I recall correctly, you normally offer half-price for newbies at events. Will that be the same for this one, or does it not apply because it's the BQC?

[Hi Stuart, First-time deal applies to ordinary Grands Prix only I am afraid. As it is, if we offered the discount at this event there'd be nothing left for us after we'd covered the price of your (hot) meal etc.. We'd probably be out of pocket in fact. But as and when you do come to an 'ordinary' event the discount will still be available, even if you've been to a major championships in the interim (e.g. British Champs). Chris]
