IQA Great Britain is delighted to announce two venues for the World Quizzing Championships this year, one in England and a satellite venue in Scotland.
Details about the event globally can be found http://www.worldquizzingchampionships.com/
England
The English venue is The National Brewery Centre and we have arranged for an optional private tour. The 90 minute tour of the building costs £8.25 and includes a pint of beer. It starts at 10am, so you’ll even have 20 minutes to explore The Beer Boutique that stocks a wide range of beer from the UK and from around 50 countries worldwide - as well as a selection of beers from the on-site William Worthington Brewery, including White Shield.
If you’d like to join the tour, please make sure you pay for the event and tour in advance so you won’t need to register on the day. We need numbers for the tour by 13 May.

World Quizzing Championships Saturday June 6th
Re: World Quizzing Championships Saturday June 6th
This is the splendid pub which I will be recommending people attending the Burton venue spend at least a part of their Saturday evening in, i.e. when we're not in the nearby curry house that is...
Pub website

There's a good selection of locally brewed real all (Burton Bridge Brewery) and the staff and regulars are very friendly. Licensees Penny & Jackie Walker won CAMRA pub of the year at their last place - they moved because every time they won an award, and they won several, the landlord put the pub up for sale at an inflated price. As well as running a lovely pub their Monday night quiz is good as well, as I can personally vouch for, being a regular competitor along with a team of friends and neighbours!

Done the tour before. Very interesting it was too.

I'll give the Brewery Centre tour a miss, but I'd like to sign up for the quizzing activities at Burton. Apologies, I'll have to pay cash on the day.
