World Quizzing Championships - England

IQA Great Britain is delighted to announce two venues for the World Quizzing Championships this year, one in England and a satellite venue in Scotland.

England

The English event takes place at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, Abington Ave, Northampton NN1 4PR

We are in the HEVEY SUITE - the closest entrance is on WANTAGE ROAD - the cricket club has instructions here: http://www.northantscricket.com/matchda ... o-find-us/

Schedule

11.30 - Registration
12.00 - WQC Paper 1
13.00 - Marking & short break
13.30 - WQC Paper 2
14.30 - Marking
15.00 – Lunch
16.00 - Speed Quiz with prizes
17.30 – Pop Quiz
19.00 - WQC Preliminary Results and Prizes
19.30 - Close, followed by ad hoc quizzes and revelry.

Cost: £30, lunch included.

Whilst not at all compulsory, it helps us enormously to have people paying in advance. You can do this via PayPal. Our PayPal account is payments@quizzing.co.uk - Thank you!

'Make Me An Egghead'. Our friends at 12 Yard will be coming along to the World Quizzing Championships venues in England and Scotland to audition for a new series that's searching for new Eggheads.

And before you ask, yes you can apply if you've been on previous searches for Eggies, previous series of Eggheads and previous series of any quiz show for that matter. In fact, a good quiz pedigree is to be encouraged for this one :D

I'd like to attend the whole day (except the evening) at Northampton. Please count me in for a vegetarian lunch. (If not available, please let me know so I can bring my own lunch.) Usual apologies for not using Paypal; I'll have to pay on the day.

I'll be at Northampton, as long as I have enough petrol to get to the Roscoff ferry on Friday afternoon...
