Baader-Meinhof Syndrome

Postby Sequin » Mon Apr 02, 2012 8:50 am

Why didn't I read the first item in this article before Saturday's Bolton Grand Prix?

I really can't see the bugle call being that disruptive, if at all. It's quite a tuneful ditty, rather than a US Cavalry style 'boot & saddles' or 'Charge!'. The cathedral from whose tower the calls are made fronts on to what is possibly the biggest open square in Europe, which is normally chock-full of happy tourists, market traders, and horse drawn carriages that circulate around this beautiful city. I'd imagine it's more likely that tourists will have their holidays ruined by loutish individuals winding-down after work, if you get my drift...

As you'll discern from this video, the bells are probably more to be reckoned with than the bugle...

P.S. I think the video was shot by a drunken footballer.

P.P.S. You can only see part of the square, a HUGE (and splendid) market hall is plonked in the middle of it.

Well, Monday I got round to watching Friday's Mastermind semis. What I pity I didn't watch Friday. I'd have had another 0.1 on Lifestyle (Japanese paper covered doors....)

Yet another example - a question asked at the GPm on Saturday, now Liverpool are after signing the bloke!

Still not sure what the Spanish connection to his name is, though.

Child's (sister's) pronunciation of Al Jarreau = Eljero.
