Postby Chris » Tue Jun 12, 2012 4:01 pm

Congratulations to 'MahaQuizzer' Jayashree Jayakar Mohanka of Kolkata who joins Trine Aalborg of Norway and Anja Bart of the Netherlands in becoming her country's first woman winner of (what is, in effect) her national quiz championship title. The quiz was held on Sunday 27 May with final results announced today (June 12).

The annual MahaQuizzer ('great quizzer') contest, based on the iQa's World Championships model, saw quizzers from 15 cities across India participate in this annual contest organised and authored by the respected Karnataka Quiz Association, based in Bangalore. The winner of this contest is widely regarded as being the nation's uncrowned national champion for the year.
