The pedantic answer would be the last Premier League club that qualified for the semis last season as it is not in the Football League. However, I expect that you did not mean that so I will have a wild guess. Ipswich Town.

Oops! It would have been one of the two P L sides that finished their semi final last, not the last one to qualify for it. I repeat however that I assume that that is not what is being looked for.

I have had a look at Wikipedia (and have disqualified myself from further participation, of course), Although not well worded, they say "and while Tottenham Hotspur won the 1901 FA Cup as a Southern League club, no non-league team has since progressed past the fifth round, this occurring most recently to Crawley Town F.C. in 2011."

I cannot see the trick here but cannot wait for the answer! I wonder if Hugh is looking for a team that was in the league then but is not now.

Ah, see what you mean David.

In that case, it could be Luton perhaps?

Still confused ... Wycombe were a league team in 2001 and still are now

Whoops, that stirred things up!

What I meant was a club who were not members of the Football League- traditionally known as a non-league team- at the time they reached the last four. It isn't a trick question about teams who have since left the league

That wikipedia entry is wrong. No non-league team has reached beyond Round 5 since the League expanded to its current size
