Dannygraver, you got two of them right, Mary Decker Slaney and tine. Also, I'm sorry that one of my original clues was wrong, but it is fixed now.
Here are the updated pins:

2. Woman mentioned in the Tanach but not the Torah who shares a name with another woman mentioned in the Torah
3. Multi-national skin care conglomerate, or the name of a Midwestern railroad classification yard
4. Golf equipment (plural)
5. Famous American female track athlete-MARY DECKER SLANEY
6. Former mayor of New York City
7. Famous Old West outlaw
8. Portion of an eating utensil-TINE
9. 20th century prime minister
10. Name of a type of railroad junction

Dysart, you rolled a gutterball, although James would be right if the connection were for a different part of the world. I apparently used an unreliable source, and Boss Tweed was never actually the mayor of New York, so that's #6.

Hints:1. This guy was in the 1970's/80's series, in two of the three movies.
2. One woman of this name is related to King David.
3. In addition to being a brand of lotion and sunscreen in many countries, a really famous poet/playwright is associated with the thing of this name in the context of the connection.
7. This guy actually came a few decades later than most of the famous outlaws, but is usually associated with the Old West anyway as part of an outlaw tandem.
One of the answers fits the connection when an alternate spelling is used.

Here are the updated pins, need the connection and ooo:
1. Middle name of an actor who appeared in multiple Star Wars movies
2. Woman mentioned in the Tanach but not the Torah who shares a name with another woman mentioned in the Torah
3. Multi-national skin care conglomerate, or the name of a Midwestern railroad classification yard
4. Golf equipment (plural)-TEES
5. Famous American female track athlete-MARY DECKER SLANEY
6. Former mayor of New York City-BOSS TWEED
7. Famous Old West outlaw
8. Portion of an eating utensil-TINE
9. 20th century prime minister-EDEN
10. Name of a type of railroad junction

Your hint about spelling one differently suggests Tyne so that the connection is rivers and the outlaw is Clyde (Barrow, I think).

Is Mary the ooo being a boat? (I am assuming from the song "Proud Mary keeps On Rolling..."
