Okay, the answers were:

South Sudan
Montenegro
Timor-Leste
Switzerland
Serbia
Tuvalu
Tonga
Nauru
Kiribati
Palau

6 of the 10 were Oceanic/Pacific countries. Does the first person to reply get to set the next question?

Not exactly!

That was an interesting question, so thanks for that. However, it was not really what the thread is designed for. Perhaps you can look back and see how it works normally?

The idea is rather more cryptic. The task is to solve 10 clues, pointing to (albeit somewhat obliquely!) a related list. One of the answers when found should be an Odd One Out (OOO).

The baton normally passes to the person who solves the last clue and OOO (if that is still outstanding) - in any case, the one who "completes" the puzzle.

For example, I might post...

1 A rock band
2 A legal group
3 A poet
etc

The answers (after many attempts!) could turn out to be

1 Genesis
2 Judges
3 EZRA Pound
etc....

So, the related batch I have chosen is "books of the Old Testament". Perhaps I would put in

7 A term from the theatre...

... which could be "Acts", making that the OOO, as it is from the New Testament.

I am sure that is clear as mud, but hope it helps!

Thanks for this, I get it now. Just wasn't sure as DanielFullard posted a "name the last 10" topic and I was just glad to be able to get one!

I feel I should get this restarted.

What is the connection and which is the odd one out?

1) A semi-aquatic furry animal related to the weasel, the otter and the ferret
2) To keep possession of
3) Single or solitary
4) A creature
5) The most frightening
6) An underground digger
7) A ballroom dance
8) Disabled
9) City in Japan
10) Part of a flower

Hope I've done this correctly!

OK - let's have a bash!

1) A semi-aquatic furry animal related to the weasel, the otter and the ferret - Vole
2) To keep possession of - Hold
3) Single or solitary - Sole
4) A creature - Troll
5) The most frightening - Nemesis
6) An underground digger - Mole
7) A ballroom dance - Paso 'Doble
8) Disabled - Out of action
9) City in Japan - Kobe
10) Part of a flower - Stamen

Most of those at random, but hope springs eternal!

Number 6 is correct and number 3 is close, the rest not so much. :)

I might add, the final answer to number 2 has two alternate spellings, differing only by the last letter, just to avoid any confusion.

Solo and Kyoto both correct, stigma not quite though.
